Bipolar Disorder

You’re not “too much.”

Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder marked by episodes of depression and periods of elevated mood (mania or hypomania). These mood shifts can make daily life unpredictable, but with the right treatment, stability is possible.

Bipolar disorder can present differently for everyone. Some may experience long depressive episodes with occasional highs, while others may cycle more frequently. Regardless of your experience, we take a thoughtful, individualized approach to helping you feel more grounded.

Common Symptoms of Bipolar Disorder:

During depressive episodes:

  • Persistent sadness, hopelessness, or low energy
  • Withdrawal from friends and activities
  • Difficulty concentrating or sleeping

During manic or hypomanic episodes:

  • Increased energy or restlessness
  • Racing thoughts or rapid speech
  • Impulsive or risky behavior
  • Decreased need for sleep or feeling “wired”

Our Approach to Bipolar Care:

We begin with a thorough psychiatric evaluation to understand your unique pattern of symptoms. Treatment may include:

  • Mood-stabilizing medications or adjunctive therapies
  • Supportive psychotherapy referrals for mood tracking and insight
  • Sleep and stress regulation strategies
  • Ongoing monitoring to adjust care as your needs change

With the right support, living well with bipolar disorder is not just possible—it’s absolutely achievable. We’re here to walk with you through every step of that journey.
